Comenius Grant Scheme
Cactus Language is delighted to have been approved by the British Council to supply language courses abroad under the Comenius Grant Scheme. Cactus has tailor-made a selection of courses and prices that will enable teachers to maximise from the experience in terms of learning and enjoyment.

What Funding is Available?
From up to 1,500 euros for 1 week, 2,000 euros for 2 weeks and up to a maximum of 2,500 euros for 6 weeks. A higher grant may be awarded where special needs or exceptionally high travel costs are involved.
The grants have been made available for primary and secondary school teachers who wish to gain a basic understanding of a language or to refresh their knowledge course. Courses are for a minimum of one week and may include an element of work shadowing. Applications for funding should be made to The British Council either directly or via a local British Council contact.

When Should I Apply?
The deadlines for 2008 are as follows:
- 31 March 2008 (for activities starting between 1 July - 30 September 2008)
- 30 June 2008 (for activities starting between 1 October - 31 December 2008)
- 30 September 2008 (for activities starting between 1 January - 31 March 2009)

- Please note that our prices do not include flights

- If you have booked accommodation with us, we will need to have your full arrival details as soon as possible
- Please note that our standard length of accommodation is from the Sunday before the start of the course to the Saturday after the last day of class (there are some exceptions, which will be mentioned if they apply to your booking). If is possible to book extra nights on either side, depending on availability.
