Pichilemu is a beach resort town located in central Chile that has become known as the country's 'surf capital'. The Pichilemu region is also known for its deep huaso (cowboy) culture, but it's the spectacular beaches and year-round surf that attract the majority of visitors. The rolling hills and forests of the region offer plenty of other outdoor pursuits too, including mountain biking, kayaking and horse-riding. For less active visitors to the area, there is also the option to bird-watch, to visit local wineries and to try a spot of yoga. Pichilemu itself offers plenty in the way of entertainment, including fabulous restaurants – seafood ones in particular - and a range of bars and cafes.
