| Colombia’s sheer diversity in terms of climate, landscape, people and culture is breathtaking. You could almost say it's several Latin American countries all rolled into one. Tucked into the north-western corner of South America, this is a world of beautiful Caribbean beaches, snow-capped Andean peaks, lush Amazonian jungle, magnificent colonial cities, extensive coffee plantations, exhilarating outdoor activities and, perhaps most importantly, truly warm and friendly colombianos. The security situation that may have been an issue to travellers a decade ago is now much improved. Add to this the fact that the Spanish spoken in Colombia is particularly clear and untouched – thanks in part to the country’s geographical isolation - and it makes for a unique and inspiring place to learn Spanish.
