Porto is Portugal's second city and the capital of Norte region in the north of the country. One of the things that Porto is most famous for is the alcoholic drink that it produces and gives its name to - port wine - although there are many other features that attract people to the city! Included amongst them are the attractive historic centre, the Ribeira district, which has become a Unesco World Heritage zone, and on a more contemporary note, Álvaro Siza Vieira’s Museu de Arte Contemporânea and Rem Koolhaas’ Casa da Música, which are must-sees for any architecture aficionado.
