Zurich is located on the northern shores of Lake Zürich, Zürichsee, and as Switzerland's most populous - and arguably most cultural - city, you won't be short of things to do outside of German lessons. The picturesque old city, with its cobbled streets, town houses, ancient churches, boutiques and street cafés, contrasts nicely with the clean modern architecture of the financial district. And as you would expect of any Swiss city, it's compact and orderly, with both the standard and cost of living correspondingly high. However it's definitely worth spending a few Euros to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a few outdoor pursuits in one of Europe's most beautiful landscapes.
Students have the choice of a range of course types, including General, Intensive, Individual and Combined German, at a variety of levels – from beginner to advanced. The school in Zurich is located in the popular Seefeld area of the city, just 5 minutes from the old town, and accommodation is provided with local German-speaking host families.
