Located in the Northwest of England, close to Manchester, Preston is a small city that was traditionally a hub of the textile industry. These days however, it has developed into a lively university city with excellent nightlife, great shopping options and lots of nice parks. Preston is also home to the Manchester United Soccer Schools programme, and its proximity to Manchester itself means that students can make regular trips to the team’s famous home ground, Old Trafford.
Students who opt for the English and Football course couldn’t find a better place to do it – the North West is a huge footballing centre, and is home to some of the best teams in the Premier League.
