Situated at the southern end of England's stunning Pennine hills, within the county of Yorkshire, Sheffield has historically been famous for its steel production. As with many of Britain’s industrial hubs though, it has transformed itself in recent decades into a thriving university city with a vibrant entertainment scene, and plenty of leisure options. Sheffield has good rail links to many of the UK’s main cities, and is therefore a good base for students to explore the UK as a whole.
Students learning English in Sheffield will stay with a host family. This kind of accommodation ensures that they always speak English outside of lessons, and that they can integrate into the local community as much as possible. The school will also organise plenty of activities for students to enjoy outside class and make friends with others on their course.
