Located on the south coast of England, Southampton is the largest city in the county of Hampshire. It’s a historic city with a long and interesting maritime heritage, and these days it is still one of the UK’s busiest ports, especially for cruise liners and luxury yachts. Southampton’s waterfront is one of the liveliest areas of the city and has an array of bars, restaurants and other entertainment venues for students to enjoy. Outside of the city is the pretty New Forest, with miles of countryside and woodland and endless opportunities for walking, biking and other outdoor pursuits. With its own international airport and quick and frequent trains to London, Southampton is a really convenient study destination which has plenty to offer those who go there.
